Gov. Jennifer Granholm addressed MSU students Wednesday morning on the steps of the Administration Building and encouraged them to fight for the Michigan Promise Scholarship. Journalism sophomore Sam Inglot zoology junior Lila Wakeman and premedical freshman Anthony Jurayj express their concerns about the elimination of the Michigan Promise Scholarship and an additional 61 percent of state financial aid funding. -

For the fifth straight time No. 26 Ohio State got the better of the No. 22 MSU mens soccer team. In Sundays conference opener at DeMartin Stadium at Old College Field the Buckeyes scored the games lone goal in the 17th minute and were able to hold off a constant offensive bombardment by the Spartans in the second half to sneak out with a 1-0 win. -

For former East Lansing Mayor Sam Singh the dream began with a magazine. From the age of 12 Singh envisioned himself as a world traveler creating imaginary itineraries while looking at National Geographic. I would get National Geographic magazines and write down places I wanted to see Singh said.
